Programming with a purpose

My ultimate career goal is to take my knowledge of game design and programming and use it to produce video games that can teach anything from calculus and biology to programming and languages. I am currently a Computer Science and Engineering (Primary) and Information and Media (Secondary) dual PhD student at Michigan State University.

My research interests are centered around Serious Educational Games.

The Nickname

I got the nickname Ducky originally in middle school for making duck calls, but I got it again in college for helping other programmers with debugging.

The nickname is a specific reference to

rubber duck debugging
